Village of Acme Council
The Village of Acme is governed by a Mayor and four Councillors. Meetings are held in Council Chambers at 615A Pacific Avenue twice a month on the second and fourth Monday at 6:00 pm. If the Monday lands on a statutory holiday, the meeting is held on the following day, Tuesday. All Council meetings are open to the public. If you wish to be added to the Agenda to meet with Council, you must make an appointment through the Village Office. Elections are held every four years in October.

About the Village of Acme Council
and the monthly Council Meetings
¨ How is Council formed?
Council is a group of 5 individuals who are elected every 4 years by vote of the residents of the Village.
Councillors are elected through secret ballot in the Municipal Election.
Councillors must be Village residents at time of election and remain residents for their full 4 year term.
¨ Who can run for Village of Acme Council?
Anyone who has resided in the Village of Acme for at least 6 consecutive months prior to nomination day is eligible to run for Council. The next election will be in October of 2025.
¨ When does Council meet?
Council meets the second and fourth Monday of every month. If a meeting lands on a statutory holiday,
the meeting is moved to the Tuesday. Council meetings are held at 6:00 pm in Council Chambers at the Village Office. 615A Pacific Avenue.
These meetings are open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.
¨ Can residents speak at the council meetings?
Residents can only speak at the council meetings if they are a delegate for the meeting.
¨ How does a resident become a delegate and bring something forward to council at a meeting?
If you would like to speak at a council meeting, you must register to become a delegate for the meeting. This will provide you a time slot near the beginning of the meeting to present your concerns to Council. To become a delegate, you must contact the Village Office to inform them of your concern(s) and ask for your name to be added to the Agenda as a delegate.
