2021 Election Information
Nomination period for the 2021 Municipal Election
CLOSED on September 20th at 12 noon
The Village of Acme had five (5) Councillor positions to be filled. There were exactly 5 nomination forms submitted. The 2021 Municipal Election’s Official results by acclamation are as follows:

There will be a Senate Election, Referendum Vote, and School Board Trustee Election at the Acme Community Centre on election day.

Polls are open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.

There will be no Municipal Election for Acme and the Advanced Polls are cancelled.
REFERENDUM QUESTIONS
Question 1: Equalization
Should section 36(2) of the Constitution Act, 1982 – Parliament and the government of Canada’s commitment to the principle of making equalization payments – be removed from the constitution?
Question 2: Daylight Saving Time
Do you want Alberta to adopt year-round Daylight Saving Time, which is summer hours, eliminating the need to change our clocks twice a year?

WHAT IDENTIFICATION DO YOU NEED TO BRING TO VOTE?

OPTION 1: Valid Photo ID showing photo, name, and current street address. (License, other card issued by a Canadian Government)

OPTION 2: Show two pieces of ID. Both must have your name and at least one must have your current street address. (Bank statement, Utility bill, etc. - complete list on elections.ca)

OPTION 3: You can still vote if you declare your identity and address in writing and have someone who knows you and who is assigned to your polling station to vouch for you. The voucher must be able to proved their identity and address.
